So far, I have lost 50 lbs! I started with Tony 16 weeks ago after my wife finally signed me up and forced me to start the XBM workouts with her. My starting weight was almost 230 lbs. with my body fat @ 34%.
Today, I weighed in at 181 lbs. with my body fat @ 19.5%. My waist went from a 42" to 33" and my energy level has doubled. For years, I have played sports and my weight has always stayed the same. The workouts, the food diary accountability, and the group and individual competitions really motivated me to work hard and maintain this new lifestyle. Tony is one of the best instructors that I have ever worked with. His workout plans are fun, fast-paced, and, so far, never the same old thing. And, as one of the senior members of this group (42+ years), I really respect his way of training even though he is much younger. I never feel like he is talking down to me, and he is "almost" always positive, whether you are doing well or just having one of those day. If possible, I'd like to get to 170 lbs. during the off-session workouts.

I am a LAZY person when it comes to exercising and I LOVE carbohydrates. I couldn’t stick to an exercise schedule in the gym or at home. When I started Tony’s XBM group, my goal was to just show up…and I did, thanks to motivation and encouragement from Tony and the group. At the end of two sessions, I had lost 28 pounds, and my body had reshaped with toned muscles! Tony gave me amazing workouts, even though I was slow and completely out of shape, and his food advice helped me to eat healthier without dieting. There are few things in life I swear by, and I swear by Tony’s program, because it worked for me. I haven’t been in such great shape since high school! THANK YOU, TONY!

I’ve tried every diet in the book; nothing would last for more than a few months. I would drop the weight and then put it right back on. However, for the last year, I have made it a point to stick to the Tony Velasco and Extreme Body Makeover program, and the results have been incredible. I participated in and won the Summer Session of the Extreme Body Makeover program and dropped 37 pounds, added solid muscle, and feel better than I could have possibly ever imagined. Thanks, Tony!

To work out with a trainer like Tony is like telling your body the time has come to get serious about what you really want to look like. He makes sure that you also implement your nutrition along with the workouts. After an hour with Tony, you really feel all the areas that he focused on (back, biceps, tris, shoulders, and, most of all, the abs). WOW! He also incorporates cardio into the workouts, so you’re never just sitting around waiting for the next exercise to do.
I went from a size 38 waist to a 32-inch waist in 3 months. Tony was the first trainer to tell me that it’s the inches you want to lose, not necessarily just the weight. This was very apparent when I lost 6 inches from my waistline and turned it into muscle, because my total weight loss was 14 pounds in the same 3-month period of time. Incredible!
If you get an opportunity to use this guy for your trainer, don’t hesitate, because he means business and you will see the results. He pushes you without the intimidation that comes with most trainers. Tony really takes an interest in what you want, and he gets you there. Thanks, T-man for getting me to where I am today.

I have belonged to Spectrum in Valencia for the past four years and have had four personal trainers over that time. They have all been very good, but Tony is the best, because of his creativity and his belief that the body was made to be moved. It is always something different that is fun and helps you to keep your body flexible and toned. He pushes you so you can reach new goals, too. It is never the same old thing. He is in great shape himself, so it isn’t just talking the talk. Tony practices good nutrition and training on a daily basis, and helps you get to your goal through great workouts while having some fun.
Great attitude and great training! Tony is the best!

Tony is amazing to work with. He keeps the workouts varied, which keeps my interest high and makes things fun, and he pushes me just hard enough to make me feel like I am making progress without killing me. I love having Tony as my trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about changing the condition of his or her body. The workouts are never the same, and I will never understand how he comes up with so many variations. I don’t think that he sleeps!
Tony’s program has changed my perspective on personal training. He is encouraging and creative. Rather than just pushing me to perform, he brings a new paradigm. Tony uses balls, bosus, and bands that have me working 3, 4, and 5 muscle groups at once, not to mention weights, stairs, pull-up bars, ridiculously tall sand dunes, and good old-fashioned running. I find it much easier to stay mentally fresh while getting a much more complete workout in an hour; alone, I could not have done this. He somehow gets us all to perform at a level that I never thought I could. Tony developed a customized program that keeps things interesting, yet still challenging. I have not been very athletic in the past, so I was surprised to see how quickly I adjusted and how fast my body responded. I am 38 years- old and, with Tony, I have dropped 40 pounds, while adding strength and flexibility, and changing all those bad habits. I work out earlier than I ever thought I would, but it is something that I look forward to in the morning. I am not happy if I do miss a workout. We have even run in a few 5Ks, half-marathons, with plans for the SCV Half in November. That is a huge accomplishment for me; my family is duly impressed!
